Sundays birding highlights.

Drake Lesser Scaup at Helston boating lake ,this rare vagrant from North America has been present for the last few days .
 As above .
 Having a little wing stretch.
The bird was actively diving while i was there.

As the weather had improved i decided to go to Sennen next to get better views of the Paddyfield Pipit and it showed well in the afternoon sunshine,if this bird was accepted it would surely be the bird of the decade as it has never been recorded in the Western Paleartic before.

 As above.
On the way home i dropped on to the Hayle estuary for a quick look and had this fine Kingfisher catch its lunch in front of me a nice finish to the day.
