American Royal Tern,i was lucky enough to find this great bird this morning on the Hayle estuary the first record for Cornwall i believe.

    Great bird, congrats. I saw this on Anglesey, so at least I didn't have to think about a 600 mile round trip

    Brilliant find. First for Cornwall and I'm informed 6th for UK. Its a 3rd summer bird and is the same one that was seen in Pagham harbour Lodmoor, Weymouth, Anglesey, Pembs, Scilly and Guernsey! I can't imagine your thoughts when you found it!!
