Decided to go to the Isles of Scilly on tuesday to see the Great Blue Heron which at the time was on the Abbey pool on Tresco ,we only got there with minutes to spare as it flew off back to Bryher ,we then walked over to Bryher as the tide was out and met my good friend John Higginson. We saw the Heron again as it flew back to Tresco,we had a couple of hours left before the boat picked us up and had a nice array of spring migrants including male Pied Flycatcher and Redstart ,Garden Warbler and Tree Pipit .Kerry and i rounded off a great trip when we found a superb male Golden Oriole at porth hellick before heading home ,thats the yellow and black blob in the middle of the bush in the last image.
