House Finch

Managed to get away from work for a few hours today and decided to try and get some picks of this contriversal bird,these were the best i could get.Also had a couple of good hours after.see below.

Had a great couple of hours after seeing the finch ,first connected with the shrike near skewjack farm and then had red kite and turtle dove at brew pool.

Wheatears Lands end 11/04/2010

Heres a selection of Wheatears seen at Lands end on sunday morning,we counted in the region of fifty to sixty birds in total,other spring migrants included three Ring ouzels,whitethroat,and Willow warbler,there was also an obvious fall of Chiffchaffs.

Managed to get down to Marazion this afternoon just in time to get some record shots of this superb Alpine Swift,hopefully this is the start of a good spring.
