Heres the last installment of the Isles of Scilly trip ,what a great week and it could of been better if we had got to grips with Dusky Thrush and Rustic Bunting that slipped through the net,then there was the tragic news of the Pale Legged Warbler/Sakhalin Warbler found freshly dead on St Agnes , oh what could have been ,who said the Scillies does,nt get the birds?.

The juvenile American Golden Plover that has frequented the Hayle estuary over the last few days.

One of the highlights of the week was this very showy Pallas Warbler at Normandy St Marys ,this has got to be one of my favourite birds of all time, this Siberian sprite has got to be one of the most difficult birds to photograph .

Highlight of the week was finding this first winter male Caspian Stonechat at Maypole on St Marys on saturday lunchtime at first it was identified as a Siberian Stonechat by myself and the many others who came to see it that afternoon but it was reindentified as a Caspian when images were looked at the next morning to reveal the diagnostic tail pattern ,this was only the second record for the Isles of Scilly and i am led to believe the fifth for britain ,happy days.
