Mark's Wild Thyme Birding: Had the first summer Spoonbill on the Hayle estuary this morning ,the bird flew in as i was sat in the van on the car park and continued to preen and feed for half an hour,although the light was poor i managed to get some reasonable shots.

Had the first summer Spoonbill on the Hayle estuary this morning ,the bird flew in as i was sat in the van on the car park and continued to preen and feed for half an hour,although the light was poor i managed to get some reasonable shots.

The beak open shots are stunning, like a pair of giant castanets...
