Spent a the last week of May camping on the Isles of Scilly with my partner Kerry here are some of the the birding highlights we managed to capture including this adult Night Heron on our first day.

Spent the next day on Gugh and st Agnes where we had great views of the Common Crane and also managed some pictures of breeding Stonechat and Linnet.

Midweek we went on the first paleagic trip of the year on the Saphire to see what seabirds were out there ,although still early in the season it was still great to get close views of Great Skua ,Gannet and Storm Petrel i also had my supper caught for me,cheers Higgo.

Had a trip to Annet and some of the western isles to see the Puffins and to see some of the mor common seabird speices at close quarters including ,Razorbill ,Cormorant and Guillemot.

After a few days of giving us the runaround we caught up with the first summer Squacco Heron at Porth Hellick ,great bird.

On the last day of the week we decided to spend the morning at Porth Hellick where we found this male Wheatear and a Cuckoo near the beach , after soaking up the the last few views of Porth Hellick bay i decided to sit in the hide by the pool to see if i could get some shots of the summer plumaged Greenshank , while i was photographing it this cracking Turtle Dove dropped in for a quick drink ,the perfect end on the magical islands..
